RULES 
  

Rules/Format determined at meeting 6/3/01 

Rules that apply to all ages:

1) Age limits will be defined by the ASA rules.

2) No varsity players will be allowed to participate. 

3) Players must be active in at least 50% of the House league season.

4) Roster must have at least 11 players or the 11th position in the batting order is an out. (This rule is waived for Sunday)

5) Every player must bat in the order.

6) Unlimited substitutions - defensively.

7) Tournament will be 2 games.

8) Teams may enter a second team in each group but must pay full costs associated with the 2nd team entry.

9) Pitchers are limited to 3 innings until the 7th inning. One pitch counts as an inning.

10) Only 9 players play defense at one time.

11) Round Robin/Bracket winner will be determined by the won and loss record after 2 games on Sunday. The tie breaker will be  head to head, runs against (limit of 15 runs per game), and coin toss. 

12) Tie breaker Sunday. International tie breaker per ASA rules.

13) Max 5 runs allowed for 1st 4 innings. 15 run slaughter rule after 4.

14) No new inning after 1:30. Time limits were reduced due to inclement weather.

15) Robin robin/bracket winners will receive individual trophies.

16) Home team is determined by a coin flip.

17) Bring plenty of sun.


Rules that apply to12U:

1) 12U will use 37.5' as the pitching distance.

Rules that apply to10U:

1) No stealing of home. Same as ASA rule.

2) Base runner can leave the base when the ball leaves the pitchers hand.  Same as ASA rule. One warning per team.

3) No infield fly rule.
